The 3030is are nevertheless another superb speaker in Q Acoustics. They deserve a place on the shortlist

Back at 2018, Q Acoustics established its exceptional 3000I speaker array. It appeared fully formed with numerous standmounter alternatives, a massive tower and committed home theater offerings. Now, amazingly and with very little warning, we now have another version in the kind of this 3030i.
The Q Acoustics 3030is now the biggest of the 3 standmounters in the scope and, together with the recent versions currently having gained five-star evaluations, they have a significant legacy to uphold.
It comes as no shock to discover that Q Acoustics has stuck closely to its effective recipe for its 3030is, only adding a bigger mid/bass unit plus a more generous cupboard.
With that the speaker’therefore enclosure packaging 12.5 litres of volume — over twice that of those 3020is (6.1 litres) — the bigger mid/bass driver and cupboard works nicely for bass expansion, lively reach and the capacity to perform more loudly.

The 3030I’s 16.5cm mid/bass (upwards from 12.5cm from the junior version ) is based upon the one used from the 3050I floorstanders, but tweaked to operate within this particular installation. It hands over to some 22mm dome tweeter in 2.4kHz.
This tweeter is shared across the scope and can be a pleasingly comprehensive and elegant unit. Here, however, it’s decoupled from the front panel to offer isolation in the vibrations created by the mid/bass device, which will help enhance focus and detail.
The cupboard keeps the 3000I show family look, so much so that some might struggle to distinguish between the numerous standmounters of this range from a picture.
