A girl who had her left ear amputated following growing skin cancer claims she hopes the others will learn from her mistakes.
Anthea Smith, 44, from Bolton, advised the BBC’s Staffordshire reporter Laura Mcmullan, herself a former youth enthusiast who developed melanoma, she did not realise the risks.
The cancer charity, Melanoma UK, is calling for a ban on sunbeds in England.
According into Cancer Research UK, melanoma skin cancer prevalence rates have more than doubled in the united kingdom since the early-1990s. There are approximately 16,000 fresh melanoma skin cancer cases in the united kingdom each year.
